The entire 1200 goldwing line had stator problems. First thing to check is the 3 yellow wires and the connector they have just to the left of the battery. You will need to replace the wire harness, engine computer, cruse control computer, speedometer, mess with the air box, replace the exhaust or modify the 1500 system for the air sensor for the fuel injection.
