WebAug 21, 2024 · It will not solve the problem you are having, but I think it will save lot of wear and tear in future if you just slow down the engine some from "full throttle" before engaging the PTO clutch and rev it up to full speed after that! I replaced worn out clutch last year, after about 1650 hours of use. WebJan 28, 2011 · PTO will intermittently fail to engage the blades. Machine has only about 300 hours. I have replaced pto switch, checked for proper voltage at clutch, and when it works it works fine. Been doing this from time to time for a year or so. I'd take it to a shop but am not sure they could diagnose it if it works properly most of the time.
